वाजिदपुर रोड पटना में स्थित एक निजी विद्यालय से मंगलवार की दोपहर, एलकेजी के छात्र शिवम कुमार को अपहरण कर लिया गया। कुछ घंटे बाद पुलिस ने उन्हें बख्तियारपुर स्टेशन से बरामद कर लिया। शिवम के पिता सुनील कुमार स्वर्ण व्यापारी हैं। अपराधियों ने उनसे 20 लाख रुपये की फिरौती मांगी थी।
बच्चे के मिलने की सूचना पर एसएसपी राजीव मिश्रा, ग्रामीण एसपी इमरान मसूद, और एएसपी भारत सोनी सहित आसपास के थानों की पुलिस घटनास्थल पर पहुंची। एसएसपी ने बच्चे की बरामदगी की जानकारी देते हुए बताया कि अपहरणकर्ताओं की पहचान कर ली गई है। उन्होंने अपराधियों की दबिश के कारण बच्चे को स्टेशन पर छोड़ दिया और उन्हें फरार होने में सफलता मिल गई।

“छापेमारी के जरिए आरोपितों की गिरफ्तारी की जा रही है। बच्चे के पिता सुनील कुमार की सत्यम ज्वेलरी नामक दुकान है। सुबह करीब नौ बजे, वे अपने बच्चे शिवम कुमार को स्कूल के गेट पर छोड़कर गए थे। दोपहर में, जब वे स्कूल में बच्चे को खाना देने गए, उन्हें पता चला कि उनका बच्चा वहां नहीं है।
पूछताछ करने पर, एक प्रत्यक्षदर्शी बच्चे ने बताया कि जब शिवम के पापा उसे गेट पर छोड़कर चले गए, तो शिवम अंदर आया। तभी एक पीली शर्ट पहने और कंधे पर गमछा रखे हुए एक युवक आया और इशारे से उसे बुलाया। युवक ने बताया कि उसके पापा दुकान पर उससे मिलने के लिए बुला रहे हैं। इसके बाद, शिवम उस व्यक्ति के पास गया और वापस नहीं आया।”

घटना स्थल पर लगे सीसीटीवी का विश्लेषण किया गया. इसमें एक युवक को एक बच्चे के साथ जाते हुए दिखाया गया। बाद में जब बच्चा नहीं मिला तो पिता ने पुलिस को सूचना दी। सहायक पुलिस अधीक्षक (एएसपी) समेत कई पुलिस टीमें मौके पर पहुंचीं और मामले की जांच शुरू की. देर शाम तक पुलिस ने घटना में शामिल तीनों संदिग्धों की पहचान कर ली थी और वे सभी एक ही बाढ़ प्रभावित इलाके के रहने वाले थे.
सूत्रों के मुताबिक पुलिस ने संदिग्धों के घरों पर छापेमारी की. दबाव बनाने के लिए उनके करीबियों को हिरासत में ले लिया गया, जिसके बाद उन्होंने बच्चे को बख्तियारपुर स्टेशन पर छोड़ दिया. साथ ही पुलिस ने घटना के बारे में रेलवे स्टेशनों को भी अलर्ट कर दिया। जब आरपीएफ (रेलवे सुरक्षा बल) के एक जवान की नजर बच्चे पर पड़ी, तो वह तुरंत बच्चे को अधिकारियों के पास लाया और उच्च अधिकारियों को सूचित किया। इसके बाद बच्चे को जी.आर.पी. के पास ले जाया गया। (सरकारी रेलवे पुलिस) बाढ़ थाने में।
बताया गया कि घटना में अपहरणकर्ताओं ने एक ऑटो-रिक्शा का इस्तेमाल किया था और उनमें से एक नाबालिग था। आरोपियों का आपराधिक गतिविधियों का इतिहास रहा है। अपहरण के बाद पिता सुनील कुमार से फोन पर 20 लाख रुपये की फिरौती भी मांगी गयी थी. इस घटना से विद्यालय के अभिभावकों में भय व्याप्त हो गया।
